Courses International Ship and Port Facility Code (ISPS)

1    General information


1.1 Recognition RSO

Leyssens security gcv is recognized by the Ministry of Mobility as ‘Recognised Security Organisation’ (RSO) for the application of the ISPS Code in Belgium and in DRC Congo.

Following the courses and passing the tests entitles you to internationally recognized diplomas.

1.2 Possibilities in terms of the place where courses are given

 

All courses can be given:
In the premises made available by Leyssens-security gcv
In the customer’s own premises:
No additional charge provided, but beamer and screen, board or flipchart and markers are to be provided by the customer.
The customer takes care of all measures to respect the corona guidelines.
A mileage allowance will be invoiced.
In both cases, the Covid measures must be respected.

This course follows the guidelines of teaching no. 2020/35 Of 08/10/2020 of the NAMB and is recognized by the NAMB.
-Conditions
Submitting your extract from the criminal record model 596.1 (Belgium)
The candidate must be present during the course.
-The course must be given in class.

-A Test has been imposed. The candidate must pass the test in order to obtain the PFSO certificate.

2.1.1.4 Certificate


The PFSO certificate is issued by Leyssens security and is recognized by the NAMB.


2.1.2 New ISPS Course Refresher PFSO NAMB (Belgium)


This course follows the guidelines of teaching no. 2020/35 Of 08/10/2020 of the NAMB and is recognized by the NAMB.
The course is intended for the holders of a PFSO certificate.
From 01 January 2021, the PFSO certificate will have a shelf life of 5 years. In order to renew this certificate, the holder must follow a refresher course: the PFSO Refresher course NAMB.
A PFSO certificate older than 5 years should be renewed by 2023 by following a ‘Refresher Course’.

2.1.2. 4 Certificate


The Refresher PFSO certificate) is delivered by Leyssens security and is recognized by the NAMB.


2.2 ISPS Courses according to the Model Courses of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO)

For the PFSO COURSES IN BELGIUM, the guidelines of the NAMB must be followed (subject no. 2020/35 Of 08/10/2020 of the NAMB) and the course mentioned in 2.1 above must be followed in order to obtain a Belgian certificate PFSO.
ALL ISPS COURSES ACCORDING TO THE GUIDELINES OF THE ‘MODEL COURSES IMO’ ARE ONLY SET UP FOR A MINIMUM OF 4 STUDENTS.
